CHOOSE YOUR UNDERLAY
Underlay is not only vital for comfort underfoot but also significantly helps preserve your carpet and offers additional moisture protection. It functions as an excellent shock absorber, ideal for minimising noise from footsteps, voices, or moving furniture. Without underlay, laminate flooring risks damage from heavy foot traffic. In high-moisture areas, consider adding a vapour layer beneath the underlay.
Underlay boosts comfort and saves money by:
-
Protecting the carpet from excessive wear.
-
Acting as a cushioning layer that provides a 'spring' effect when you walk.
-
Reducing friction between the carpet backing and the floor.
-
Helping the flooring maintain its appearance by reducing furniture marks on the carpet.
-
Dampening noise.
